Membership Requirements:
Since the end of the draft in 1973, less than 1% of the population join the military and even half of that earn Veterans status making them eligible to join the VFW. To be eligible for membership:
» U.S. citizen who has served honorably in the Armed Forces and has served in an overseas conflict. You can join us even if you are still serving in the military.
» Received a campaign medal for overseas service; have served 30 consecutive or 60 non-consecutive days in Korea; or have ever received hostile fire or imminent danger pay, then you're eligible to join our ranks.
